Program Description: Fiddleheads is a warm, playful, and instructive environment where children create deep nourishing connections with themselves, others and nature. We honor the natural rhythm of the day, the seasons and the children: the in and the out breaths. A harmony of excitement and relaxation is sought through a balanced flow of free play, adventure, story time, structured games, crafts, snack, emotional sharing and circle times. In order to support all children, we keep our groups small: one counselor per three to four children. This way, we ensure that children feel seen, understood and supported. The flow of the day and structure of activities is designed to meet the individual needs of the children in the group. We integrate mindfulness and movement activities into all of camp activities and rely on our social and emotional learning curriculum to foster sensory integration, emotional regulation and natural growth of the children. Scholarships and financial aid available!
