Program Description: Parent education sign class open to all parents, caregivers and service providers who work with children ages 0-5 who are deaf or hard-of-hearing or who have special needs and who live in Alameda County. You will learn Signing Exact English vocabulary. Opportunities to sign songs, stories and build conversational skills! Interact with other parents and caregivers for a fun, supportive atmosphere. SPECIAL GUEST SPEAKERS: The first Tuesday of each month, from 10:30-11:30am we offer a Parent Support Group led by psychologist Dr. Peggy Kelly. The third Tuesday of each month from 9:30-10:30am we offer Parent Education on speech, language, and auditory development led by Speech and Language Therapists Carol Lettko, CCC-SLP, and Jennifer Wayman, CCC-SLP. Transportation is available for Alameda County residents. Interpreters also available upon request.
