See a movie for a Buck!

For $10 per person, you can go to every movie in the Kids Movie Series this summer hosted by The Alameda Theatre & Cineplex on Central Ave in Alameda. That's about a dollar per movie – when you buy the movie “sheets” in person. Beat the line and buy online for $11/sheet. the Alameda Education Foundation is proud to participate in the Alameda Theater & Cineplex’ Family Summer Movie Series.  Celebrate summer and revisit your favorite family movies on the big screen.  Thanks to the Alameda Theater & Cineplex, all proceeds from ticket sales by the Alameda Education Foundation support Adopt A Classroom, Middle School Sports and Enrichment scholarship programs.
 
Showings are 10 am on both Tuesday and Wednesdays, and the series lasts for ten weeks, starting the week of June 13th.

Enter the world of Mother Goose Land where all your beloved characters are brought to life!!!

Follow Mother Goose as she introduces you to her favorite stories. You’ll encounter Mary and her little lamb on their way to school, while Jack and Jill are climbing a hill in search of water. Humpty Dumpty is perched high atop a wall waiting for the kings arrival, while Bo-Peep is searching for her lost sheep. There is no better way to introduce young readers to classic Mother Goose rhymes than this warm and heartfelt production using exquisitely hand crafted marionettes. 
 
Seating is limited to the first 90 people in line. Free tickets are required.  Tickets will be handed out in front of the Library 30 minutes prior to the show.  All members of your party must be in line to receive a ticket. There will be no in/out privileges for these shows, so please be prepared to sit through the entire show.

Enjoy family fitness!  Ride your bike along the shoreline.

Join Bike Walk Eden for the first-ever family ride biking along the Hayward Shoreline Trail! This ride is open to everyone at all levels and will be conducted at a leisurely pace. Head out with family and/or friends and meet new people while enjoying the beautiful view of the Bay and coastal wildlife. Cruise along the shoreline trail to the Hayward Shoreline Interpretive Center and take a break to do some bike decoration crafting, visit the art gallery, have some tot play and then head back.

OCTOBER 14, 2017 - Harvest Fair (Dublin)

Turn back time and enjoy an afternoon of old-fashioned fall fun at the picturesque Heritage Park and Museums. The rustic barns, cemetery and historic buildings at the park provide the perfect setting for all of the aromas and sounds of fall on the farm.  Live music will fill the air as visitors enjoy tractor-pulled wagon-rides, play in a hay stack, and stroll through the vendor booths. The 1910 Kolb House and 1850s Murray Schoolhouse will be open during the event for tours.  Enticing fall foods, including caramel apples, pie, hot apple cider, and popcorn will be available for purchase.
