FREE: TOGETHER WEE PLAY DROP-IN PROGRAM AGES 1-5

This program provides a safe, fun, and exciting place for parents and caregivers to play with their children. Staff will facilitate with ideas and techniques for skill-building. One parent or caregiver is required for every three children. Must sign waiver form upon arrival.

The UC Berkeley Art Museum and Pacific Film Archive is the visual arts center of the University of California, Berkeley, the nation’s leading public research university. Our mission is to inspire the imagination and ignite critical dialogue through art and film, engaging audiences from the UC Berkeley campus, the Bay Area, and beyond. Each year BAMPFA presents more than twenty art exhibitions, 450 film programs, and dozens of performances, as well as lectures, symposia, and tours.

Enjoy Fairy Winterland at Children's Fairyland, Oakland!

In December, Fairy Winterland celebrates the winter holidays of many cultures: Christmas, Chanukah, Kwanzaa, Las Posadas, Diwali, and Chinese New Year. Enjoy stories, crafts, a festival of lights, and a visit from Santa.

Holiday shopping can be rough, especially if you care about responsibly sourced goods and supporting your local economy. Have no fear! Shop local this year at the Ecology Center’s 26th Annual Winter Craft Fair and find sustainably made, hand-crafted, and beautiful gifts from Bay Area artisans.
 
For two Saturdays in December, Downtown Berkeley Farmers’ Market welcomes local artists, artisans, and crafters that are committed to using sustainable practices. Find upcycled messenger bags, gorgeous wooden bowls from sustainably harvested wood, nontoxic jewelry, wildcrafted and natural body products. Peruse gifts while getting your grocery shopping done at the Farmers’ Market and good music. The Crafts Fair will happen RAIN OR SHINE.
 
Remember to bring your reusable shopping bag. Or find a handmade one there!

Enjoy a FREE movie & FREE popcorn at the Ecology Center!
 
We are excited to announce our Fall Film Series at the Ecology Center! In an effort to open up our space to the community, while providing an accessible format for fostering discussions around the various climate issues we cover, we will be hosting free monthly screenings of select films at our Ecology Center store.
 
Check out a new film, or one of your favorites, with other members of the community for a fun-filled and family-friendly evening. All screenings are free and open to the public (and include free popcorn!).
