Program Description: Since 1979, the Crab Cove Visitor Center has connected people with the marine and shoreline life, as well as Alameda history. Current programs that are geared towards families with young children include: Family Nature Fun, Fish Feeding, Sea Squirts, and Hikes for Tikes. With hands-on exhibits, aquariums that provide a look at seldom seen Bay creatures, and sharks and whale models "swimming" about, children want to return often to visit their new animal friends.
