Playgroups at West Oakland Library

Last Updated: September/26/2017

Description: Join us for a time of imagination and play that will also offer vital ideas to support early learning. Playgroups are a great space to bond with children and meet other caregivers and parents who are raising our youngest learners. Experienced facilitator Kamilah Usoro will set up activities, play stations, and circle times that reinforce the joy of learning and allow for both child-directed free play and teacher-guided learning exercises. If you're interested in gaining a better understanding of how children learn through play, this is a perfect opportunity. You will take home skills for improving adult-child relationships, techniques for supporting children's early education, and ways to ensure children are prepared for kindergarten. Playgroups give kids a strong start in life, so we look forward to seeing you at an event soon! Playgroups are designed to be 12-week series that build upon each other each week.
