Fremont – Lunar New Year Celebration 蛇舞迎春賀新年
Celebrate Lunar New Year at Fremont Library. Enjoy dragon and lion dances and a variety show presented by the community members, and hop from station to station for fun traditional new year activities, crafts, face painting, shadow puppets, and a DIY Photo Booth! The Dragon Dance will start at 1:00 PM in the library lobby and end in the Children's Area. All activities are free and will be presented in English and Mandarin. Tickets are required for the variety show and Shadow Puppets (ages 2-5). All other activities are first-come, first-serve. When capacity is reached, you may need to wait in line or choose a different activity. Variety Show: Tickets will be distributed starting at 12:45 PM outside the library in the breezeway. Shadow Puppets: Tickets will be distributed 15 minutes before each show at 1:15 PM, 2:15 PM, and 3:15 PM in the lobby. Enjoy a storytime with AAC Fremont Library. This program is designed for emergent communicators, ages 7 & under who are learning to communicate using AAC Systems. Open to children of all abilities! Storytime with AAC” aims to support families/caregivers of emergent communicators by demonstrating language using AAC Systems, helping children develop a love for reading and building language through shared interaction and connection. Albany - New Year, New You-A Look at Chinese New Year, African American History Month, & Valentine’s Day
Celebrate all of February at Albany Library. It will feature themes from Chinese New Year, African American History Month, Valentine’s Day and the Holidays. This craft event feature 2-4 projects that could be used as gifts for others or yourself. The materials used in these crafts will be glass, foam, thread, flowers (optional), corrugated paper, Christmas bulbs, frames, and more.
