Oakland - MOCHA at the Library
Make art with MOCHA at Oakland Public Library. MOCHA returns to the library, beginning Fall 2024 to offer FREE weekly art workshops at 11 Oakland Public Library branches. Join MOCHA Teaching Artists in these workshops for children and families. Each week the Teaching Artist will present art related to a different theme, building creativity, socio-emotional, and academic skills through painting, drawing, sculpting, and numerous other art forms. Virtual – Fathering From Within
This workshop is presented by BANANAS. This is a series designed to empower all fathers and help navigate relationships and social norms that may hinder effective parenting. It will also offer personal tools that define or redefine one’s sense of identity and purpose, and establish guiding principles for fatherhood. Participants will learn that everything we need to know about being a great dad is, and always has been, inside us. Fremont – Kids Yoga and Movement
Join Fremont Library for Kids Yoga and Movement. Kids ages 6-12 are welcome to join. Yoga helps kids to relax, relieve stress and anxiety, sleep better, improve emotional regulation, increase empathy, and improve mood and affect. Please dress appropriately and bring your own water, yoga mat or a towel. This is a free ticketed event with limited capacity. Tickets will be handed over at the Children's Service Desk 15 minutes prior to the start of the program.
