Families are invited to celebrate the New Year in Chinatown with lion dances, cultural performances, and live music. The event includes food vendors and a street festival.

The Laurel District Association hosts the Laurel Lunar New Year Celebration. 

A traditional New Year procession led by the Buk Sing Choy Lay Fut Kung Fu Academy will feature lion dancers and drummers. Families may follow the parade along MacArthur Boulevard and enjoy a community potluck and talent show.

Del Valle Regional Park is inviting families to search for real animals inspired by Pokémon characters. 

Park staff will lead families on a short walk as they look for plants and animals that resemble familiar Pokémon like Pikachu, Squirtle, and Charmander. The drop-in program is open to all ages, with adult participation required.
