Program Description: Join OPL for our end of summer celebration at the West Oakland Branch Library! There will be free BBQ, crafts, storytime, and fun for Kids, Teens, and Adults. The Eat.Learn.Play. Bus will be there, giving away free books and snack/meal kits. BBQ provided by Oakland Firefighters Local 55 Drinks provided by City of Oakland, District 3 City Councilmember Carroll Fife Magnetic Tile art workshop for adults 1-3pm with Rock Paper Scissors Collective with ASL Interpretation. Schedule 11am-1pm Try-It Truck Engineering lab on wheels 11:15am Storytime Presented by OPL Children's Librarians 12:00pm Crosspulse Trio An interactive body music show 1:00pm TURFInc Step-by-step foundation moves of TURF dancing and Magnetic Tile art workshop 2:00pm Soul4Kidz Children’s songs, with a soulful twist This event would not be possible without the support of the Friends of the Oakland Public Library.
