Program AKA (also known as): Basic Needs
Program Description: Davis Street’s goal is to support the entire family unit. The Family Services Program provides assistance to families in securing their basic needs. The services provided by the Family Services Program include food distribution, clothing giveaways, and housing resources. The food and clothing programs serve the Eden Area, which include San Leandro, San Lorenzo, Castro Valley, Cherryland, and Ashland. The certification process for both food and clothing is one in the same and is based on income eligibility. In regards to housing resources, there is a binder at Davis Street’s front desk which contains information on available housing opportunities. The binder is updated monthly.
