Program Description: East Bay Agency for Children operates a student and family support service program that is designed to (1) remove barriers to students’ learning and (2) help families receive resources and support. The center's dual-language (English/Spanish) programs provide support for literacy and social-emotional skills to help prepare low-literacy Mam (Indigenous Guatemalan)and Latino children and their families for Kindergarten.

General Comments: The Hawthorne Family Resource Center offers a family resource center open to the community that is a gateway to the services at the Hawthorne Family Resource Center. Services include: family workshops, two parent - child programs, community closet, short - term case management and information and referrals.
