Integrated Kindergarten Wellness - Parent Support
Program Last Updated: 01/20/2026
Program Description: The Integrated Kindergarten Wellness - Parent Support Program by ONGB, in affiliation with HFA, is a nationally recognized, evidence-based home visiting program that supports pregnant and parenting families—including pregnant and parenting teens—from the prenatal period through a child’s third birthday (and up to age five when needed). Through weekly home visits, dedicated case managers provide parenting education, developmental screenings, and hands-on support to strengthen parent–child relationships and promote healthy family dynamics. The program places a strong emphasis on supporting teen parents by reducing barriers to education and health, promoting school engagement, and addressing the unique challenges young parents face as they balance caregiving, school, and life transitions. HFA connects families to essential community resources addressing health, childcare, housing, transportation, and basic needs, while also providing baby essentials and developmental tools to reduce stress and increase stability. By addressing root causes that impact family well-being and school engagement, the HFA Program helps families build goals, and support positive outcomes for children and parents alike
